News & Record Column on ConvergeSouth |
| John Robinson's Sunday Column Pro-ConvergeSouth |
John's Sunday column in the News & Record was all about ConvergeSouth. Some discussion at Ed Cone's blog and Technorati and the "fat white boys" you might see there. Of course, there will be a huge diversity of people at the ConvergeSouth conference because we're 30 seconds ahead of the curve. |
Daniel Rubin - ConvergeSouth discussion leader |
| Daniel Rubin with Lex Alexander at ConvergeSouth |
Great Quote: All Philly blogs are trend-worshipping, friend-promoting, slang-butchering cesspools of sarcasm and soullessness, right? Yeah, mostly, but Daniel Rubin's Blinq -- the webbed arm of the Inquirer, of all things -- manages to outwit and out-entertain its peers by remaining refreshingly unhip and utterly panoptic in its interests. Yeah, he's a blogger, so he often blogs about blogs, but Rubin's professional attitude and personal touches make Blinq feel more like a column than a mere newsletter of the weird. Read more here. Check out Daniel Rubin's blog. |

The list of those registering for ConvergeSouth automatically generates (thanks to the Firelace guys) an online list with links to their blogs or other URLs. Be sure to check out who's attending to be impressed, to arrange rides, or to figure out who you should be sure to meet. (As of 7:30 pm on 09/06/06, there are 82 registered people. Be sure to register yourself so there's room for you. This even-year conference has a smaller registration cutoff than last year's 2-day event.) |
| Can you podcast ConvergeSouth? |
We've had requests for podcasts of ConvergeSouth sessions from some folks who can't attend. We're pretty sure we can get video from the good folks at A&T (but not Webcasts). Can you help with podcasts? There are 3 sessions on the Web side of the conference that we especially want to capture on podcasts (the sessions do not overlap). If you can help with podcasting equipment and expertise, please contact us at this email address. |
| Elizabeth Edwards to be Discussion Leader @ ConvergeSouth |

Elizabeth is a veteran of the John Edwards '04 and Kerry/Edwards campaigns, a key participant in the One America Committee community, and an author who is immersed in another kind of coummunity built around her story of illness and recovery. This is not a political session, even though Elizabeth Edwards is involved in politics. (Read more at Ed's blog.) |
